Summer Reading Kickoff Party!

Join us at Lykke Books for a special afternoon with beloved award-winning author Kate DiCamillo, featuring a live reading, book signing, and meet-and-greet as we celebrate the release of her newest novel in the Orris and Timble trilogy. Guests will also enjoy a variety of themed, hands-on activities inspired by her stories, including Despereaux’s Castle Corner, where children can create their own crowns and take royal photos in front of a whimsical castle backdrop with knights, royalty, and tiny heroes; a Kindness Wall, inviting readers to share small acts of kindness they can do over the summer; and Edward Tulane Traveling Tags, where kids can write and display where they would go if they could travel anywhere this summer. This interactive, family-friendly event is designed to celebrate imagination, storytelling, and the joy of reading for all ages.
